Healthcare specialists, Auckland Radiology Group, provide a wide range of imaging services from their 18 Auckland branches. Many of the facilities were dated and had ineffective use of space. Part of that was due to the technological advancements that have changed how radiology works. Dark rooms and large printers have become obsolete with the introduction of the digital age. Malcolm & Sumner were responsible for the space planning, consent documentation and contract management of the project including furniture procurement. In all their renovated facilities, Auckland Radiology's branches now have a much more pleasant & modern space for both their patients and staff. By re-designing the areas, they could add more treatment rooms, improve staff facilities and at the same time upgrade the reception and change rooms. Mary Grigor, General Manager, said "from a commercial point of view, we created more productive clinical space - more consulting rooms - therefore better profitibility. Our adminstrative and technical staff were happier in their new environment and this, in turn, boosted branch morale and staff retention."
